After Delhi, Chennai has begun to suffer as the air pollution level rises in various parts of the city. On November 6 at 6pm, Alandur, IIT Chennai and US consulate and Manali registered 155PM2.5, 151PM2.5, 160PM2.5 and 177PM2.5 of Air Quality Index respectively. The level of PM2.5 can lead people to experience health effects, especially sensitive groups. Notably, experts say, Chennai’s air quality has been steadily declining.
