Retired Pakistani wicketkeeper Rashid Latif who faced severe backlash on social media over his verbal spat with Virender Sehwag, has released a new video apologizing for his actions. "I wanted to warn Sehwag a lesson after his comments on Pakistan. We should respect each other. Sehwag was a great player who has scored two triple centuries. But he must understand he should not disrespect a country," he said. Further, Latif also regarded Virat Kohli as the world’s best batsman and went on to congratulate India for reaching the semi-finals of ICC Champions Trophy.
