The Centre, on Thursday, reportedly announced that Aadhaar card would be mandatory for getting subsidised foodgrains from Public Distribution System shops. According to reports, the government has also granted time till June 30 for getting Aadhaar card to avail subsidised foodgrain. The government asked the states to link Aadhaar with ration cards soon.
