Village in Kerala has 400 pairs of twins

Kodinhi, a village in Kerala's Malappuram district has the largest number of twins in the country. According to reports, there are at least 400 pairs of twins in the village that has a population of 2000 families. The village had 280 pairs in the year 2008, but the numbers have only increased over the years. The average twin births in India is not more than 9 in 1000 births, in Kodinhi, the number is as high as 45 in 1000 births.
