According to reports, an estimated 70,000 dogs are slaughtered every year in the Indonesian island of Bali where selling and eating dog meat is legal. An investigation has found that tourists visiting the island are unwittingly eating dog meat. Further, the investigation found that dogs were poisoned and killed with metal poles, even though using poison or cruel methods to kill dogs is illegal.
