A joint team of CID and West Bengal police recovered about 2000 tortoises from a truck in Nadia district of West Bengal, say reports. Reportedly, the truck, coming from Lucknow in Uttar Pradesh to Bongao bordering Bangladesh, carried 2000 tortoises wrapped in 50 bags on Wednesday. Three persons, including the truck driver, were arrested and the vehicle was seized.
