After the State Bank of India started merger of its associate banks, around 15,000 employees from the entities have reportedly sought a transfer. According to reports, SBI is set to absorb 69,191 staffs from State Banks of Bikaner and Jaipur, Hyderabad, Mysore, Patiala, Travancore and Bharatiya Mahila Bank. Notably, around 2,800 employees of these entities have applied for VRS.
