'I AM WHALE': AN ALARMING HASHTAG RISING ON SOCIAL MEDIA, INDICATING THE DEADLY GAME

When we searched with the hashtag I_am_bluewhale, shocking result awaited for us in social media. Facebook alone gave us a result which had endless statuses with the above hashtag. Upon posting the hashtag, the victim has passed the 8th level of the deadly 'game'.
Facebook result gave a video in which a distressed looking teen was filmed by someone while she kept cutting her hand with a blade. We decided not to add the video for its graphic content might disturb viewers.
Twitter had an even more shocking result, and tweets of people from all over the with the hashtag asking for help to die appeared.

After searching the same hashtag in Instagram, a message appeared asking whether they could help as the hashtag had an association with suicide.
While the victims are leaving a number of clues before committing suicide, especially on social media, why are they not being reached remains a question.
