ARVIND KEJRIWAL’S FULL SPEECH AT KAMAL’S PARTY LAUNCH
Home > News Shots ColumnsDelhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal on Wednesday participated in the political party launch of Kamal Haasan at an event in Madurai. The Aam Aadmi Party chief delivered a speech wishing Kamal Haasan a successful political journey.
Excerpts from his speech:
Kamal Haasan has started this party as a political alternative in Tamil Nadu. I’ve been a great fan of Kamal Haasan as an actor, a producer and a film personality. But now I’m standing here, because he is a real life hero. He’s not only honest; he has a great vision and the best thing I admire about him is his courage.
Kamal Haasan has the courage to speak up against injustice and communal forces; I’ve been watching the courage he has been showing for the last few months. I congratulate Kamal Haasan and the entire team for bringing a political alternative in the state; not only them, I also congratulate the entire people of Tamil Nadu for this.
Until now, the people of Tamil Nadu were stuck between only two parties - DMK and AIADMK. Earlier people had no other better alternatives; you don’t have to vote for corrupt parties anymore because now you can vote for Kamal Haasan. The people of Delhi chose us over others by giving us a mandate with majority as they were opposed to corruption and injustice.
Now, it’s the turn for the people of Tamil Nadu to break the record of Delhi people by choosing Kamal Haasan over others. Everything is possible when you have a honest government. Delhi is witnessing a complete transformation today in all sectors; they are witnessing revolution; now, the same is possible in Tamil Nadu if the people of the state choose Kamal Haasan.
The Tamil Nadu people are now ready to throw out the DMK and AIADMK, and bring Kamal to power. If you want corruption, go ahead and vote for DMK or AIADMK. But if you want water, electricity and other essential facilities, vote for Kamal. The people of Delhi started this new trend, they voted for honest politicians. Now it’s the turn of the people of Tamil Nadu.
