SATHYAM PARANJA VISWASIKKUVO MOVIE REVIEW
Sathyam Paranja Viswasikkuvo revolves around the small world of a mason Suni played by Biju Menon and his family and friends. The innocent performances from each character in a village backdrop makes it an engaging watch.
Samvritha Sunil plays the role of Geetha who eloped with Suni when he came to work at her house. Then there is Suni’s gang of friends/coworkers that includes his uncle Karuppayi (Alencier Ley Lopez), Thamara (Sudhi Koppa), Prasad (Dinesh Prabhakar) and Shanavaz (Mangal). As their lives move in free flow, Suni encounters an accident that forms the central plot of the movie. It takes a humourous twist at the interval when the accident leads to another case.
Though the first half doesn't give us a clue regarding the connection between the movie title and the actual movie, it can get the audience engaged with its gripping narrative and good cinematography.
The second half shows how Suni escapes from the problems created by the accident. Even though the final twist is predictable as the movie progresses, the emotional- sentimental scenes take the front seat and leads the movie.
Samvritha Sunil has delivered an excellent comeback after years. She has performed well though she doesn't have much screentime. Biju Menon's acting as Suni was flawless. The supporting cast have also done their part well by giving a convincing presentation of their lives as masons as well as family people. The movie indirectly explains how miscommunication can lead to confusion and then to bigger problems.
After the super hit movie 'Oru Vadakkan Selfie', director G Prajith has crafted another tale that shows you can make a good movie without heavy dialogues or action sequences or even a big star cast. National Award-winning writer Sajeev Pazhoor has delivered yet another simple story with interesting twists that keep the film moving at a good pace.
On the flipside, the parallel story of a panchayat and the political instabilities happening there seems not effective. The core twist of the movie was a tad bit predictable.
Sathyam Paranja Viswasikkuvo is clearly a feel good family entertainer with adequately comical situations with no off-colour humour. The songs composed by Shaan Rahman and Viswajith are soothing to the ears even though the background score felt a bit dramatic.
