The Movie Mikhael is Nivin Pauly's take on mass films. The actor known for his romcoms has shifted gears into mass action thrillers by the dawn of 2019. From the director of The Great Father and the writer of Abrahaminte Santhathikal, Haneef Adeni, it guarantees to be a stylish action-packed emotional thriller.

Mikhael aka Mike (Nivin Pauly) is the Guardian Angel of his family. His family consists of his mother (Shanthi Krishna), his stepfather (Ashokan) and his little sister. He is ready to cross any limits to safeguard his family from the bad guys. And if they hurt anyone close to Mikhael they better be ready to face his wrath.

The film has the conventional and predictable revenge drama - mob thriller story, but has a nonlinear screenplay that gifts its gripping nature. Stylish and rich are the words that can be used in describing the making. Written and directed by Haneef Adeni, the film has been specifically designed to entertain Nivin Pauly fans and the audience who enjoy mass films.

Vishnu Panicker's cinematography and Mahesh Narayanan's editing go hand-in-hand in creating the stunning action sequences. The excellent background score by Gopi Sunder plays a very crucial role in adding the x-factor to the mass scenes

Nivin Pauly has delivered fine performance and will connect with the audience on an emotional level. Unni Mukundan as the antagonist Marco Jr. is the real show stealer with his stunning looks and breathtaking stunts. He looks like a Bollywood hero and has handled his character well. Veteran actor Siddique once again delivers an amazing and strong performance.

Mikhael is the kind of film which will entertain you if you do not expect everything to be logical. To enjoy the movie to the fullest you should let the film go in whichever direction it feels like going, and not think too much about anything. There are many characters and stories revolving around Mike's and his sister's story. Some characters are interesting while some are cliches in new covers.
