Mamangam is Mammootty’s much-awaited multi-lingual movie, which is having expectations from his fans and film lovers. In the movie, the ace actor will be seen as a chaver (warrior), who plots to kill Zamorins (old rulers of Calicut, Kerala). The movie has a star cast and it is scheduled to release on December 12.
Child artist Achutan is also part of the movie and will appear as Chandroth Chanthunni. A new video of Achuthan practicing Kalaripayattu is now doing the rounds in the social media. In the video, the 11-year-old boy is seen performing the martial art with his well-paced movements.
Earlier, in the trailer of the movie and a video song, the young actor had won the hearts of the audience. The 2-minute 7-second new video launched by the Kavya Film Company is titled ‘True Wonder Boy’. The cast of the movie includes, Mammootty, Unni Mukundan, Kaniha, Anusree, Idavela Babu, Siddique, Manikkuttan, Manikandan Achary, Tarun Arora, Prachi Tehlan, amongst others.
Mamangam is produced by Venu Kunnappilly under the banner of Kavya Film Company. The movie, directed by Padmakumar is a period drama set against the backdrop of a religious festival, held once every 12 years at Thirunavaya, on the banks of Bharathapuzha in Kerala.
