Films are entirely director’s medium and director Vetri Maaran had established this fact in all his films with an authority of his craft. He is someone who takes his audience’s intelligence seriously and treats them with a lot of respect.

Visaaranai released in 2016 had every element in it to render a totally engrossing and an informative time for the audience which dealt with human rights violations.
