EXCLUSIVE: "MANI HAD A DIFFICULT LIFE POST PHOTOGRAPHER" - REVEALS CRITICALLY ACCLAIMED DIRECTOR

In Udalaazham, Mani plays the role of a tribal transgender, who face serious difficulties in the society. The film is directed by UnniKrishnan Avala. While speaking about how he found Mani, who disappeared after his debut movie, the director said, “It was a difficult task for me to find out Mani and to convince him to act in the movie. Before that, I read in newspaper reports that the actor, who acted in 'Photographer' was working as a road worker". 

Mani who sat beside the director during an exclusive interview with Behindwoods Ice said, he wanted to act in movies, but couldn’t due to some reasons which hurt him. The actor said that he was duped after being offered roles in films after 'Photographer’. He said, he was depressed after these incidents, and that is how he went to work in Shimoga (in Karnataka).

Speaking about his character, Mani said, he had put maximum effort to do justice to his role. He also said that actor Indrans and others co-actors supported him during the shooting. “I am shy to act in front of many people. The whole crew supported to make me comfortable during the shoot,” Mani said. The actor also said with a smile on his face that, people are recognising him as an actor now.
