In an interview with Behindwoods Ice, he spoke about his new movies and the ‘commercial movies’ made in big budget. Speaking about ‘Oru Njayarazhcha’, the ace director said, the movie is about the story of two pairs of lovers, that happens on a Sunday. The film explains closely on what happens to them, both are parallel stories”. The director also said that the movie is an “intimate portrayal or closely examined portrayal of love”.

When asked if a movie needs the tag of a superstar for a commercial success, the director replied in negative. He said, “there are many films of superstars which were flops. When you have a superstar movie, the proportionate increase in the budget in the price…but makes it not viable, if the movie is a failure”. According to him, the quality of the movie matters, even if its a hit or a flop.

Speaking about the new filmmakers, Shyamaprasad said, there are new filmmakers who are making “beautiful movies”, without any film background. The ace director is now on the works of directing his new movie ‘Kasiminte Kadal’, which is an adaptation of ‘Small-Town Sea’ by Anees Salim.
