ARCHANA KAVI-ABISH MATHEW GET ENGAGED!

Actress Archana Kavi got engaged to stand-up comedian and her long-time friend Abish Mathew on Sunday (November 1st). The ceremony was a close-knit affair with only the closest friends and family attending. 

 

Both Archana and Abish hail from Kottayam. Archana is the daughter of journalist Jose Kaviyil. She began her career as a VJ before making her debut in Neelathamara. She's also been part of films like Honey Bee, Mummy and Me, Salt N' Pepper and Aravaan. Abish Mathew has made his name as a comedian, starting off as a RJ in Delhi, then moving on to do sketches with the hilarious and controversial All India Bakchod (AIB). He also hosts his own live comedy show called Son of Abish. 

 

Reportedly, Archana and Abish's families have been friends for years. Archana had initially turned down this arranged marriage proposal, later accepting it. The wedding date has not been announced yet, but is expected to be some time early next year.
