Indian Film Festival of Melbourne (IFFM) is Australia’s one of the biggest celebration of Indian cinema, and it is also one of the biggest Indian film festivals outside India. Every annual year there is a theme and based on the theme the festival shapes.
This year's theme for the film festival is ‘India at 70’. According to Bollywood media, India's beauty queen, Aishwarya Rai Bachchan will be hoisting the Indian national flag at Melbourne’s iconic pulse point, Federation Square. It is also said that she will be the first Indian woman to do so. On the other hand, Vidya Balan is chosen as the brand ambassador for this film festival.
Apart from the two, there are a lot of Indian celebrities who are invited. There are also quality Indian made short films, feature films, and documentary which are scheduled to screen at the film festival
