of great reviews, tons of appreciation
and powerful word of mouth did
create that interest in me to
watch the film and I did find
the time to go and watch it.
An hour in to the movie, my
expectations stood shattered
with the movie not even living
up to 50% of the expectations.
The much talked about the Trio
comedy of Bhaskar, VA Moorthy
and Manobala is far from impressive
and doesn’t stand in for
the appreciation that It has
stood for. The story line, of
course one has to forget about
story lines for film like this
but there isn’t anything
near to what you want to call
a story. The film overall has
less comedy than what “GOA”
with its negative and not so
optimistic reviews had to provide.
I was more a disappointed man
at the end of the day coming
out of the theater than I was
when I came out of GOA show.
I do agree its new for a Tamil
Cinema to go on these lines
but has this not been done excellently
well by the Lollu Sabha and
other teams in the CHINNATHIRAI.
Lollu sabha had lots to offer
during the Santhanam days. Siva
has done his part no doubt about
but ????????????. The first
half is far from entertaining
and the second half helps a
little bit for the film. Though
the film is not long, it does
make one feel it’s long
and pray for a quick ending.
This is just another form of
Lollu Sabha minus its plus points.
I hardly saw people busting
into laughter’s regularly.
All in all the film is average
with real comedy spread here
and there but definitely not
the hype and the rave reviews
it is getting. I expected a
LOT and return with very less.
