Ultimate Star is back. Action King is back and the man behind this powerful entertainer Venkat Prabhu is back! Mankatha was creating a lot of hype lately, not because of it's star cast but because of one thing, It was Ajith in his 50th film and does it emerge victorious?? It does, except for a few things. The first half an hour is something that will definitely test your patience but after that its simply "Mankatha daa". The screenplay is fast and its rock n roll all the way with many unpredictable twists and turns. With shades of grey, Ajith certainly looks stunning and he depicts his emotions with panache. And do we have to say about Action King?? He is always the one to be admired, be it the dialogue delivery or the stunt sequence. The background score adds more finesse to the movie. Yuvan Shankar Raja deserves applause. It's unique storytelling impressed me a lot. The inexplicable avatar of "Thala" was something that I feel would take the movie places. Equal credit should be given to Premji, who with his silly antics and humorous quotes made everyone splash out in laughter. Otherwise, the much anticipated Glamsome-Foursome are just mere song-dolls which turns out be a drawback for the movie and jars the screenplay heavily. So what is the verdict?????
