Cinema today is not a business; it's a serious business. People from all walks of life need to taste success only in cinema. In the last few years the TFM has taken a giant leap in the People's heart. Be it songs or actor's charisma or the soundtrack of a movie. These days People even remember the interludes used in a song. All is well. In Such an industry the word serious business is given only to Comedy. It's one act which everyone tries to get. There are many types of humor. Let us not get into it. Santhanam; one name says it all. He does not get bashed up just because his opposite has understood him wrongly or he didn't say punch dialogues. He does not come as a friend of the protagonist, he is more than that. In Films like SMS or BEB he was like one man army. A real friend who takes lead in a person's life. People see Santhanam as their friend and use his dialogues with their friends. And still he rules. Too much of anything is not good. I see Comedians enacting hero's hit character and make it a comedy. Starting from Vivek, Manobala, M.S Bhaskar and everyone till today. Normally the character taken is Chandramukhi or Ghajini and sometimes Kamal's hit play. I wonder how do they it. A character to be played by a hero requires his mental strength and he has used utmost 6 months to fine tune his character. And comedians just do it and make it a joke in 2 or less than 5 minutes. No one would have forgotten the Vivek's "Sivagami Gandam". The last scene of the comedy was Vivek lying in a bed in the hospital and enacting Kamal's cult classic. There was hard work in his work.
The request from my side is a comedian is putting all his soul to a joke so that he reaches everyone or makes everyone laugh. When a comedian enacts the role of a hit film's hero's character only his efforts should be mentioned such that they forget the real one. Hard work is needed to replay such a cult classic's character. A request to all directors; we have seen the same Ghajini or a Chandramukhi in all movies. Please don't add such a scene.
