In 2010 I saw various films in different genres .I would say it was a perfect year for movie buffs.

AAYIRATHIL ORUVAN:
Karthi's second film, a different attempt by Selvaraghavan.1st fantasy adventure in modern cinema though many did not like this film. It was really a bold attempt in Tamil.

TAMIL PADAM:
Another movie to be made in a spoof genre that is completely new to Tamil, a very funny movie.

GOA:
This is another film which was completely funny and a kind of spoof of some Tamil, English and Hindi films. A hat trick film for Venkat Prabhu.

VINNAI THAANDI VARUVAAYA:
It showed the life of the modern lovers in a realistic manner. Simbhu's 2nd innings started, Trisha's too. GVM and ARR duo's skills paid of well.

ANGADI THERU:
An art film made in a realistic manner to be liked by A B and C class audience. This film's success showed that good films are always encouraged by Tamil movie fans.

PAIYA:
Karthi's hat trick happened with this romantic-action film. The onscreen chemistry between the lead pair, Lingusamy's racy screenplay, Yuvan's music paved the way for this blockbuster.

IRUMBU KOTAI MURATTU SINGAM:
Simbudevan who gave us excellent films like Imsai Arasan and Arai en 305il kadavul returned with a funny movie which was a spoof of yesteryear cowboy films. The director's creativity is awesome.

SINGAM:
The only successful complete commercial film of the year. Suriya once again tasted success .Hari has given us a film like Saamy, a complete family entertainer.

RAAVANAN:
Mani Ratnam's epic.

KALAVANI:
A surprise hit of the year.

MADARASAPATTINAM:
A wonderful journey of love from Singara Chennai to Madarasapattinam

VAMSAM:
A very different village film. Pandiraj again proved that he is a good director

NAN MAHAN ALLA:
This became Karthi's hat trick blockbuster in 2010.

BOSS (A) BASKARAN:
Santhanam is the hero!!

ENDHIRAN:
Technically mastered, new records. Took Tamil cinema to great heights

MAINAA:
Another realistic love journey

VA-QUARTER CUTTING:
This film opened up to mixed reviews. A film of this kind first in Tamil. Bold attempt by the director couple, all cast and crew. A funny bumpy !!

MANDHIRA PUNNAGAI:
A very different film with an interesting script and unexpected script..

NANDHALALA:
Hats off Mysskin! The director who gave blockbusters Chithiram Pesudhadi and Anjadhe proved that he is a great actor too!! A great film in Tamil cinema's 77years ...simple and picture perfect 

EASAN:
This film is a complete contrast to the director's previous film. Narrated the evil factors of city life boldly, a film that every parents should see.
