Director Magizh Thirumeni, his first movie “Mun Dhinam Paarthaenae” notsuccessful, but he bounced back with “Thadaiyara Thaaka” (TT), a thriller cumaction film.
Plot: The movie is about a Selva (Arun Vijay), tourist cab driver, who wanted to settle professionally as well as in love life. However, sudden murder of a villain made his gang member’s utmost angry, while searching for suspect, cricket bat used for the murder found in Selva’s cab. As evidence grew stronger against Selva,put him and his friend’s life in danger. The climax is about how he dealt with the gang with minimal external support. Director Magizh Thirumeni executes themovie well with gripping screen play and gruesome action sequences.
Performance: Arun Vijay got the meaty role in this movie, and his agility in the stuntsequences fit ably with Selva’s character. Mamta performed satisfactorily inher limited scope in the movie. Adukalam fame Murugadas with hisperformance catching the eyes of the audiences. Director deserves praise for hisscreen play and directional effort for making this fast-paced thriller movie. Songs, BGM & Rerecording by Thaman is a highlight in TT.Whenever slight snag appears, editing kept the audience engaged. Too manyblood bath scenes and hero fighting against a huge number of villains makes itless watchable. TT will provide a break for director and Arun Vijay in the industry.
Bottom-line: A series of stunt sequences resulting in a sea of blood.
