Tons of expectations, lots of belief and eagerness to watch, coupled with a grand music release increased everybody's expectations for this Manamadhan's Manmadhan Ambu.... To everyone's dismay, the film had not done justice to the cast, crew and the hype it had created. I am still not relieved from the shock of the disaster after seeing the film. Is this the Kamal Haasan we know? I am sure something has gone totally wrong. It is just like how we felt for the Australian Cricket team when their performance dropped. Kamal Haasan has had a bad attempt at the cupid's arrow missing it big time........

The film was portrayed as a humor treat but hours into the movie, you keep searching for the comedy which is always inevitable in Kamal - KS Ravikumar movie. Kamal and Trisha until last few minutes of movie don't even show their love for each other and the reasons for it is also is very baseless. Kamal has failed in most of the on screen performance but for the songs he has sung.....  Yes there are a few scenes here and there to reiterate that it is a Kamal Haasan movie but it does not last long. It is a lazy attempt from Kamal and the much talked about rehearsal for such a film is a waste. Kamal has to stop thinking about other areas of the film industry and focus on acting and choosing scripts that could make him a lot more successful. He should take a leaf out of Rajini's method of choosing films. As a fan it was indeed more than a disappointment after watching it First day in below freezing temperature in New York...... After Endiran the gap between successful ( Rajini) and the great actor ( Kamal) has increased......

The cast in the film are all wasted. What a criminal waste of Oorvasi, who comes as a crying wife in few scenes and fades away, Trisha doesn't have much to do but it is definitely one of the better performances from her...... Madhavan does a simple role effectively though..... but the script makes all character look weak. Sangeetha as always has the potential and has done her work to perfection, perhaps outscoring most of them including Kamal. The climax where Sangeetha and Madhavan unite is intolerable. What has happend Kamal? Is this where you want to take Tamil cinema. The last 20 minutes of the film does make one laugh, as people remember that it is a comedy movie and had to laugh at least for the sake of it......

It is sad end to much hyped movie and a one to forget soon. Waiting for another Kamal movie where Ulaga Nayagan shines..... Good Luck Ulaga Nayanganee............. Come back with a Bang!!!!
