life and soul of Ghajini |

A
movie review is supposed to
consider the genre, be neutral
& give an unbiased opinion
of the movie. This is exactly
why I would not classify this
as a movie review. To give a
preview, I have watched the
Tamil version of the movie.
I went to the movie only to
see what Aamir Khan had done
in the role Surya shot to fame.
And there's only one word to
describe what I saw –
WOW.
This AK-43 (Aamir Khan @ 43)
is shooting missiles, not bullets.
And as the hype suggested, it's
not Aamir's body alone that
steals the show. This movie
might turn 'Neutrals' &
'Non-Fans' into hard-core Aamir
fans. It certainly did me in.
The story, Aamir's multiple
packs, music etc have all been
beaten to death in the media.
Hence I'm not delving too much
into it. This is technically
a very high-class film. 'Becha'
&'Guzarish' are already
so popular; it wouldn't make
sense to review them. All songs
are in place & only enhance
the emotions they are expected
to blow up. |

The cast, though not perfect,
do their job really well and
ensures their presence is felt.
Asin, does a neat job, and does
not look the same in the remake
version. The villain (Pradeep
Rawat) has been put to better
use and has really been the
bad man the director wanted
him to be. Jiah Khan does look
believable as a medical student
who gets into chaos due to her
curiosity.
And now to the real heroes of
the movie –first, A R
Muragadoss; he has been given
the freedom to make the movie
he wanted and has been outstanding.
His language barrier is hardly
visible on screen. He has tweaked
a little and has changed the
climax completely. Giving more
will rob you the joy of watching
a new movie.
And the champion Aamir Khan:
He is the life and soul of Ghajini.
He is charming as the business
tycoon who falls in love with
a model. And looks like a hungry
tiger when in the revenge mode.
Russell Crowe played the Gladiator
– he said he would crush
human skull with bare hand and
you believed it. And here Aamir
bashes dozens of guys, they
fly all around & brake into
pieces, and it looks very believable
as well. In fact, Aamir looks
so expressive; you want to help
him beat a few more yourselves.
This has been a relay race with
many people carrying the baton;
every runner has run the distance
& has finished the race
with a lot of time left. This
is the best romance/action movie
of the season.
