Madhavan
He made his debut under
the ace director Mani Ratnam in Alai
payuthey and set the hearts
of scores of college girls aflutter. The ebullient
and chirpy engineer in the movie was a perfect
foil for the quiet Sakthi played so well by
Shalini.
He
is a trained engineer and turned to acting from
television serials. He polished his craft under
Mani and has proven his versatility in action,
comedy and sentiment by acting in films as diverse
as Kannathil
Muthamittall, Anbe
Sivam, Dum dum dum, Nala
Damayanti, Run and Aytha
ezhuthu. His foray into
Hindi was not very successful. He is at present
working in Thambi in Tamil. He received the
Filmfare award for the best debut actor.
