Usha Uthup :

Usha Uthup is the evergreen voice of Indipop. She has over three decades of experience in film music. She is fondly referred to as Didi. She has sung in thirteen Indian languages and eight foreign languages. She started her career in 1969 and recently she has sung a song in the movie June R . She has also had no formal training in music. Her inspirations are the Sami sisters, her elder sisters and

Harry Belafonte. Her robust voice has added charm to innumerable songs in many languages. She is also very effervescent in stage shows and her legion of fans ranges from six to sixty. She is one of the first singers to bring a new dimension to singing for cabarets. Her impeccable attire including Kanjeevaram silks, kohl and jasmine strings add to her appeal.
