The
movie was launched in 2002 but could be released
only in this year. Ace cinematographer Jeeva
was the director and it had Shaam, Arya, Laila,
Pooja and Asin as the lead artistes. Although
most of the scenes were complete and only the
climax and one song were pending, there were
several obstacles. |

The audio cassettes were released in 2003 and
the film was slated for release in 2004. Finally,
G.V. Films took charge of the film and it was
released in July, 2005. The director was always
confident that the film would do well which
it did and gave Shaam a much needed hit. It
was also a good innings for Asin, after the
success of M. Kumaran. |
