After the success of Dhina, once again A.R. Murugadass and Ajith join hands for Mirattal.
Ajith is paired with Asin in the film.
According to the director, "Mirattal is the story of a man with a fair complexion and Ajith fits the role perfectly".
It is believed that this story was first narrated to Vikram and since Murugadass was not in a mood to compromise on the changes made by the hero, his next choice was Ajith.
