the city audience

The
movie Salaam Namastae
which had Saif Ali Khan
and Preity Zinta in
the pilot roles has
got mixed responses
from the
northern parts of Bihar
and U.P. "I am
aware of the fact that
the film hasn't appealed
to the audiences in
the north, but the film
was never made for them
anyway, nor was it expected
to find appeal among
the masses. The film
was essentially made
for the city-centric
audiences and they connected
well to it. In any case,
I wasn't looking at
the film confirming
to everyone's expectations,"
says the director Siddharth.Raj
Anand. The director
also says that the producers
of the film Yash Chopra
and Aduthya Chopra are
happy about the business
the film is making.
