The upcoming Akshay Kumar and Aishwarya
Rai Bachchan starrer ‘Action Replayy’,
which is produced by Vipul Shah, has a
case that has been filed against it in
the Bombay High Court for non-payment
of dues. The litigation has been filed
by Dubai based entertainment company Eros
Worldwide. In the complaint, Eros claims
that approximately Rs. 6.56 crores is
still to be re-paid by the producers.
The petition that was filed stated that
the defendant (Vipul Shah) be restrained
from exhibiting, causing to exhibit, releasing,
communicating to the public in any manner,
exploiting, delivering the prints to any
third party or creating third party rights
in the title or interest in respect of
the film.
The High Court vacation judge, Justice
JH Bhatia, has kept the matter for hearing
on November 4, and has further stated
that the involved parties should try and
reach a settlement out of court before
the appointed date mutually. Action Replayy
is due to be released on November 5, 2010.
