Farhan
Akhtar has been choosing his roles very
carefully and 'Karthik calling Karthik'
is no exception. The director and the
director turned actor has decided to make
a different movie and from a mushy romantic
movie in the first half they shift gears
in the second to make a disturbing psychological
thriller.
Karthik (Farhan) is a brilliant loser
having a troubled past, has got habituated
to getting bullied. Eventually he loses
his job, his love and his life. When all
is gone and he decides to commit suicide
he gets a call and surprisingly the person
calling from the other side is himself.
Life takes a 'U' turn for Karthik once
he starts following the phone Karthik
ways. He gets his job, his love, his happiness
and his life. But his happiness is short-lived
when he decides to share his secret to
his girlfriend and his psychologist. What
happens next is something that should
be enjoyed on big screen. |
