We have exclusive information about popular TV personality turned director Vijay Adhiraj’s maiden film ‘Puthagam’. The famous TV star has told us that he first narrated the story to Crazy Mohan nearly 14 years ago and it seems the comedian/writer was pleasantly shocked when he learnt that it’s the same story he will be realizing into a movie now. Vijay Adhiraj told us that the story was inspired by the life of a certain friend of his named ‘Telco’ Kumar.
The film will introduce Satya, brother of Arya and Santhana Bharati’s son Sanjay Bharati who is reportedly playing a comical role. Rakul Preet Singh and Crazy Mohan too are part of the cast. The film was apparently wrapped up in just 60 days. The director is proud of a particular song that was shot in a popular club in Bangkok with over 200 dancers. He also believes that he has captured locales of Chennai in a completely new and fresh way.
James Vasanthan has recorded the music for the movie that includes a hard rock song and Madan Karky has penned a track that covers the currencies of 182 countries. Director Vijay Adhiraj plans to release the movie after diwali.
