This year's sleeper hit Kahaani, has made many of Vidya's contemporaries go green with envy about her meaty roles. Anushka was open about her compliments to Vidya Balan and she also expressed interest to play the role of an NRI coming to India in search of her husband and her hardships in the city of Kolkata.

Now, as it seems, Anushka has got what she wants. Kahaani will be remade in Telugu and it's confirmed that Anushka will play Vidya Bagchi in the remake. The Tamil and Telugu remake rights of the movie were bought by Endemol Entertainment and the movie is likely to kick start in the month of September.
