Oviya is busy promoting her much awaited film Kalakalappu which releases today with her co - stars - Vimal, Shiva, Anjali and Santhanam. She is irked with reports about her alleged misunderstanding and ugly fight with Dipa Shah. The latter had sent out a press release accusing Oviya's manager of trying to punch her in the face.

Now, it is Oviya's turn to talk about the incident that happened on the Sillunu Oru Santhippu sets. She said that the two were sharing a caravan and she was giving a television interview after informing Dipa. Apparently Dipa kept talking on the phone which made it hard for Oviya to finish the interview and she sent her manager to talk to Dipa and the next thing she knew, Dipa had created a big scene and walked out.

Oviya says that Dipa's statement that her manager tried to punch her in the face is false, "This is really bad. Nobody tried to punch her like how she has expressed. I don't know if it’s a publicity gimmick".
