The hunt for lead role for the Tamil version of Dirty Picture is still going on. While actresses like Trisha and Anushka put down the offer to portray Silk Smitha, actress Namitha has offered to play the role. In a recent interview, Namitha said, “I will whole heartedly take up the role if I’m being approached. I will in fact reduce my remuneration to play the role of Silk Smitha,” said Namitha.

She added, “Silk was the glam queen of 80s and 90s and people today call me with the same name. Silk had a great fan following, so do I. I will perfectly fit in for her role.”
