SPB Charan has been in the news for his massive weight loss as much as for his production ventures. The actor has never looked better and the offers are pouring in. The makers of Vanavarayan Vallavarayan have persuaded him to play a pivotal role in the film with Krishna, the hero. Sowcar Janaki is also a part of this film. Director Rajamohan is an SPB Charan discovery as it was the latter who gave him a break with Kungumma Poovum Konjum Pooravum. 

The singer/producer/actor also recently won the Vijay TV award for best singer along with Dad, SPB for their number in Aadukalam - Aiyyayo Nenju. Charan's last outing as an actor was Va Quarter Cutting and his fans are waiting to see this promising actor on the slver screen again.
