Prominent actress turned politician Kushboo seems to have touched a nerve with a certain religious outfit for her attire. The DMK cadre reportedly wore a sari that had carefully etched Hindu deities, which has not gone down well with the group.

They have demanded a public apology from Kushboo even if she had unintentionally worn it. Some legal experts believe that the party is seeking to draw mileage out of the issue. Certain fashion designers have come out in the open to say that it’s common for the Kalamkaari saris to have pictures of Hindu Gods.

The actress though has maintained a dignified silence on the matter.
