Director Kumar is riding high on success after his Kannada film Vishnuvardhana with Sudeep in the lead turned out to be a smash hit. Kumar is planning to remake this film in Tamil and screened the film for his mentor KS Ravi Kumar.

Soon after watching this film, KSR appreciated Kumar for his work and said that he should be remaking it in Tamil soon. When Kumar disclosed that he would like to rope in Vijay for the role, KSR reportedly told him that Karthi would fit in the role perfectly.

Kumar is now in a dilemma on signing up the right star.
