The title issue of Thuppakki still remains unsolved. The interim ban on using the title Thuppakki, has been extended till 14th August. The issue came up when Ravi Devan of North East Film Work Factory filed a case against the Murugadoss film, alleging that the title and the logo of Thuppakki resembles his own film, Kalla Thuppakki.

Meanwhile, the Thuppakki team is moving on with their shoot for the film. Vijay is presently shooting for a couple of song sequences that are being choreographed by one of his favourites, Dinesh.
