It is no secret that producer turned actor, Udhayanidhi Stalin is the grandson of Karunanidhi and son of Stalin. The question on everybody's lips is when will Udhay as he is affectionately called, take the plunge into politics. Following the release of his debut film OKOK, there has been talk that the DMK wishes to cash in on his popularity and has offered him a top position with their youth wing.

Udhay however has reportedly turned down the offer to join politics as he wishes to focus on films at present. He feels that he should not be favored over those who have toiled long and hard for the party and top positions should go to those with experience. Currently, he is producing Neer Paravai. Wife Kiruthika will be directing a film soon and Udhay himself is looking at scripts and says he wants to do another comedy.
