World’s eyes are on Chennai, as the city is featuring stars around the world for tonight’s IPL inaugural ceremony. The Taj Coromandel was surrounded by number of police vehicles yesterday as the hotel is playing host to the celebrities. Katy Perry arrived at the hotel yesterday, with her hair dyed in blue. According to reports she has said that she wanted to see Chennai first before giving any interviews.

The inaugural function will take off at the YMCA College of Physical Education ground tonight. The star studded show will feature Bollywood Superstar Amitabh Bachchan introducing the nine teams. The charismatic event will also include performances from Katy Perry, Priyanka Chopra, Kareena Kapoor, Salman Khan, Prabhu Deva and the Colonial Cousins.

The inaugural match will be between the last year’s champions Chennai Super Kings and Mumbai Indians. The match will start tomorrow at the MA Chidambaram Stadium, Chepauk at 7PM.
