Produced
by KBR Medias Pvt. Ltd and
directed by the well-known
actor-director Bhagyaraj,
this film stars Bhagyaraj’s
son Shantanu with Chandni
Tamilarasan as his pair. Other
actors include Rajesh, Seetha,
Avinash and Ganja Karuppu.
The story is supposed to be
a youthful romantic comedy
with the lead pair running
away from their homes (in
different cities) and meeting
up at the Central Station
in Chennai. What happens later
forms the rest of the story.
Music for the movie has been
composed by three different
musicians—Dharan, Babu
Shankar and S.Thaman.
Poove…Poove...

Lyrics: Na.Muthukumar
Music: Dharan
This song speaks of the fragrant
presence of love which adds
color to life itself. We hear
some pleasant acoustic

(Nylon) guitar and some delectable
flute (essaying Natabairavi swaras) along
with violins. The song, especially the
rhythm, has a ‘Yuvan Shankar’
touch to it.
Money..Money...
Vocals: Benny Dayal,
Reshmi
Lyrics: Babu Shankar
Music: Babu Shankar
A smart dance number sung with gusto by
Benny and Reshmi to the accompaniment
of bass guitars and a teeny weeny bit
of konnakkol-like sounds which you hear
in the backdrop when the lady goes ‘ovvaru
naalum’. Could just sneak in and
out of the charts.
Kelu..Kelu ...
Vocals: Haricharan, Kanja
Karuppu, C.A.Raja,V.V.S.Maniyan
Lyrics: Amudhamani
Music: Dharan
This song seems to have been obliquely
inspired by Bhagyaraj’s old hit
‘En Soga Kadhayai Kelu Thaaikkulamae’!
A fun number that bemoans the fate of
the jilted lover, it falls easy on the
ears. The native percussion rhythms, nagaswaram
and some robust konnakkol enliven it.
Well sung by all. The song seems to touch
upon the Sindhubairavi raga.
Gundu
Chattikkulle...
Vocals: Ranjith.
Chorus: Naveen, Rahul Nambiar
Lyrics: Na.Muthukumar
Music: S.Thaman
A very lively number that takes the Mickey
out of girls, so to speak! Ranjith gives
a tongue-in-cheek rendering though his
voice seems to have been somewhat synthesized.
The song itself reminds us of Thaman’s
own ‘Aanum Pennum’ from’
Moscowin Kaveri’. Smooth rhythms
and keyboard sounds add gaiety.
Naan
Aalaana Thamarai...
Vocals: Suchitra,
Sri Mathumitha, Venkat Prabhu
Lyrics: Amudhamani
Music: (Remix) by Dharan
Another Bhagyaraj number is what we have
here. Dharan has put in some fine percussive
touches in the song. The Indian rhythms
and western rhythms contrast well right
through the song. The flute bit deserves
mention. The singers do a neat job. This
song could visit the charts briefly.
Poove
Poove(Remix)...
Vocals: Yuvan
Shankar Raja
Music:Dharan
A gentle one, as far as remixes go. Only
Yuvan’s voice is featured.
Verdict:
An album meant solely for youngsters.
It is good in patches and not noisy. But
doesn’t make you go ‘gaga’
over it.
