Tamilselvanum Thaniyar Anjalum is a story of how the life of a courier boy is affected when he is given the responsibility of delivering sensitive content to the mentioned address. Does he succeed in his battle? Who races ahead in this cat and mouse game. The answers to these questions form the rest of the movie.
 

With an able plot at his disposal, the director does show promise when it comes to connecting the dots. But the screenplay falls short of a polished finish due to few extraneous sequences. Coupled up with this, the fact that he takes his own sweet time to finally establish the plot, slacks down the proceedings. But this lasts only till it picks up pace. Once it does, it makes you wonder as to what will happen next. The cinematography is apt and it is noticeable that a few interesting shots have made the cut. For instance, in the sequence where the henchmen enquire about the status of delivery, the DOP has opted for an extremely low angled wide shot - a smart call. There are similar such moves present in the movie which make us forget the minor slips.

The editor has surprised us by packing the movie into a less than 2 hour affair. Although ruling out a few scenes might have given us a tightly knit race, full credit to the editor for giving us a slick sequence right before the interval. The graph of the movie rises steadily but ends abruptly. Maybe a better climax would have given the movie a defined end, rather than one which looks forced.

Music director Karthik impresses with his work and Sandeep Chowta bowls us over with his well defined BGM. The art directors have done a commendable job by choosing narrow lanes for giving us the edgy feel of always being on the run.

The cast is decent enough with Jai at his usual best. Yami Gautham could have been given a meatier role. Although Santhanam’s presence in a thriller can be questioned, but his one-liners and comebacks do tickle our funny bone in every scene he appears. Overall the director has taken up quite an intriguing plot, but misses the bull’s eye when it comes to execution. But one can say that Premsai has done a reasonably fair job in his debut.
