Mani Ratnam hits back after a gap of three years with a love story set against the backdrop of the sea and people who have made the sea, their livelihood. Gautham Karthik and Thulasi Nair debut in the movie that has AR Rahman’s music.

Trade Talk :

Notwithstanding the confusion following the Vishwaroopam issue, Kadal’s opening was decent in Chennai’s multiplexes. Reviews have been mixed and the movie’s fortune can only be decided in the weeks to come.
