These are three directors in Hindi who have taken up three diverse themes in films. While Nandita Das shook everyone with her hard hitting debut Firaaq, Zoya Akhthar gave an insightful narration of the insides of the film industry through Luck by Chance. Leena Yadav has chosen the unconventional and the abstract through films like Shabd and Teen Patti. She will also be noted as being the first director who brought together two legends Amitabh Bachchan and Ben Kingsley on screen.

And, we have not forgotten names like Gurinder Chaddha who has given us enjoyable entertainers like Bend it Like Beckham.
