But, he is not only a villain, he is also perhaps one of the best character artistes of our times. So, it was a ratification of the faith and adulation that Tamil cinema had shown in this actor when he was chosen for the National Award for Best Actor for his role in Kanchivaram. Truly well deserved by the actor and a proud moment for Tamil cinema!
