A no-nonsense approach to the generic flaws that exist in society and about how they are responsible for creating crime and criminals out of promising youngsters: that was Renigunta. Violence was there, but it never looked like and unwelcome inclusion. The young group of actors was optimally used by the director to give an engaging and sometimes touching account of their lives and livelihood. Not a runaway hit, but the audience did not fail to notice the earnestness and quality of the effort.
