In Cheran’s movies, the songs are generally relevant to the movement of the story and are never frivolous. This film too had almost eleven songs, but the period theme of the story saw to it that the songs were conceived sensibly enough to suit the background. Some songs did leave an impact- the ones by Vijay Yesudas, Mahati and Karthik.
