Asin’s Kalpana from Ghajini redefined bravery. She did not hesitate to take on the scourges of the underworld singlehandedly in order to free some girls from the flesh trade. Ultimately, her character pays the price for her bravery with death but remains undaunted and selfless to the end; in fact her dying words are to urge the hero to save himself.
