It was that rarest of albums were each and every track was a gem. ‘Poo pookum osai’ was an exuberant celebration of youth. ‘Strawberry kanne’ was fun and peppy. ‘Mana Madurai’ was simply too groovy for words. ‘Anbendra mazhayile’ was spiritually uplifting. ‘Thanga thamarai magalae’ was so sensuous it was downright sinful. And ‘Vennilavae’ remains a classic and is arguably one of the greatest ballads ever.
